In an email sent out to users earlier today, the BrickLink team have announced how they will be following the European Union customs change coming next month.
The European Union is introducing a flat-rate customs duty of €3 for small parcels valued at up to €150 from July 1, 2026. BrickLink sellers in Europe will absolutely be affected by this, and the team has announced further details on what this will mean for sellers and users.
Instead of packages valued at lower then €150 being exempt from low-value duty, they will now be charged a €3 flat duty per customs tariff number. Platforms and sellers will be responsible for duties and compliance requirements, including product safety and any regulatory obligations.
Expect these changes to affect the total landed cost of goods, customs processing, and compliance requirements when importing into the EU. The BrickLink team also state that this may cause delays or disruptions in shipments. The email closes by suggesting sellers consult a legal professional and your logistics partner should you have any questions.
